Mamelodi Sundowns have made history by clinching a fifth straigh league title win and Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane has reacted to whether Amakhosi will give the champions a guard of honour. In football it has become normal that a team that won the league while there are still games remaining, are celebrated by opposing teams regadless of their rivalry.
Sundowns gave Chiefs a guard of honour in the 2014/15 season, and despite the gesture being seen as good sportsmanship, some feel it is unnecessary.Amakhosi interim coach Arthur Zwane says as a team, they will give respect to everyone that derseves it and if it means giving them guard of honour, they will do it.
"That's football. We respect people when they do well. We give credit they deserve. If they've done well and won the league whilst still a few games remaining and if we have to do that for them, why not," Zwane told the media.
