Gnonto is trying to force through a move away from Elland Road
Handing in a transfer request, and refusing to play for Leeds United, is “not the right way” Wilfried Gnonto should engineer his move away from the club, according to EFL pundit Jobi McAnuff.
Gnonto, who scored only twice in 24 appearances for United during their ill-fated relegation season last time out, made himself unavailable for the home cup win with Shrewsbury, away defeat to Birmingham and Friday evening’s stalemate with the Baggies. “He was one of the real only shining lights last year in what was a difficult season, and certainly one I think Leeds fans certainly felt could really help with that push to get them back in. He’s a young boy, and we do have to remember that.
