However, current projections do not indicate the smoke will be as intense as it has been previously, officials said. People with a higher risk of health problems or those with concerns can leave the area either on their own or by using the transportation provided to the congregate shelter in Deer Lake in the Hodder Memorial Centre on 8-10 Crescent St.
Pick-up sites are the Salvation Army Church in Bishop's Falls, the Joe Byrne Arena and Windsor Stadium in Grand-Falls Windsor and the Salvation Army Citadel in Botwood.
