Howard Parks, 34, of East Orange, faces charges of robbery, two counts of carjacking, receiving stolen property and assault by auto in Morris County.
A New Jersey was arrested Friday afternoon in Morris County after he carjacked a vehicle in a Walmart parking lot, attempted to rob a nearby bank and then tried to steal a second car after crashing while attempting to flee, authorities said.
Twenty minutes later, Parks attempted to rob a Wells Fargo Bank in town, authorities said. He pretended to have a gun and passed a note demanding money to the teller, but ran from the building before actually getting any money, authorities said.
