Mothers are more likely to kill their own young children, while fathers often kill children who are not genetically related to them, such as stepchildren, writes Jana Smit

In the Bhisho High Court in the Eastern Cape on Thursday, Busisiwe Labi , who suffocated her two children last year, was sentenced to two prison terms of 22 years and six months for the murders. She will serve the sentences concurrently.
