Why more Downs players could be snatched by Chiefs
A door could be open for more players to join Kaizer Chiefs from Mamelodi Sundowns after revelations by coach Manqoba Mngqithi.
Amakhosi famously brought in the likes of Jose Torrealba, Katlego Mphela, Khama Billiat, Leonardo Castro, Ramahlwe Mphahlele and to an extent, Keagan Dolly, to mention a few in recent years, as free agents, although Dolly was signed after a spell in France.The Brazilians midfielder Themba Zwane, despite his legendary status, waited long before his contract was officially announced over the weekend, on a one-year contract.
"I think it's the right thing to do. Everybody is free to have his opinion but I think it's the right thing to do," Mngqithi told journalists at an MTN8 quarter-finals post-match press conference after a narrow win over Polokwane City. "But for him to stay sharp it's important to know that he has to fight for the next contract," he said.
