HIV and human rights activist Zola Tshayana, who is the MenConnect national consultant, said the mobile platform provides highly personalised awareness, initiation and adherence support for HIV-positive men.

“Some men complained about long queues and having to spend the whole day in the health facility. Generally, men hate queues and also hate spending a long time somewhere because of circumstances and not out of their own will. Many men lament having to go to the clinic to be treated for sexually transmitted diseases as they have to show their private parts to the nurse or the doctor,” Tshayana said.
