It was important for us to make sure that we did answer some of the audience's questions, but still leave them wanting more, with more places to go in season three."He went on to explain that one of the plans for season three was to explore the Realm of Darkness in more depth:"The goal is to answer 'what is the Realm of Darkness?'.
The series cancellation means, of course, that Young's plans have now been scuppered. There is always the possibility that Netflix may return to the series at a later date, but then there would be the problem that the cast – who are all in their twenties but playing teenagers – would have aged too much to play the roles.
One possibility is for a spin-off to be made – and there is already a story that could be adapted for the screen.Winx Saga
