Why Chiefs turned down 'best striker on the African continent'
JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA - AUGUST 24: Kaizer Chiefs players during the Kaizer Chiefs media open day at Kaizer Chiefs Village on August 24, 2023 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Chiefs are in the market for a gunslinger after the likes of Jasond Gonzalez, who returned to Colombia, Ranga Chivaviro, Christian Saile and Ashley Du Preez did not live up to expectations last season. After already confirming the signings of Gaston Sirino, Rushwin Dortley, Inacio Miguel, goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari and Bongani Sam, the club is still in need of an attacking reinforcement.
"The striker I offered Chiefs, in my opinion, is the best striker on the African continent. That's my opinion," Makaab said on Gagasi FM.
