With Black players making up 43 per cent of Premier League's stars, why do boardrooms have such a lack of diversity?

The FA was asked for an updated figure but said it would be released with the 2022-23 report, which is due to be published soon. While Premier League sides collectively cleared the target of 15 per cent of senior leadership roles going to BAME candidates, the results indicated that teams in the EFL failed to appoint any between August 1, 2021, and July 31, 2022. Altogether, just 10.2 per cent of hires across the 52 clubs were from Black or ethnic minority communities.
