She was thrilled. Kayla is now an advocate for fairer textbook prices at her school, and has urged professors to sign OER pledges.
“Having that price transparency with professors during syllabus week is a huge weight off my shoulders,” she says. “And I can use that money to put toward meals and paying off loans.”
