They also raised money performing in variety shows called Felon Follies, selling tickets to the community, and working side-by-side to build it. “ was a combination of both inmates and volunteers from the community that provided the labor to do this,” Snow explained.At the time, the cost was projected to be $130,000. Turns out, they were able to do it for about a quarter of that amount. All of the money coming from donations.
