Turns out growing crops on the Red Planet is a lot like growing food on a climate-ravaged Earth.

What this experiment demonstrates, according to the authors behind it, is that this could be an untapped solution to resuscitating depleted farmland — while also tackling agriculture’s widespread land use problem.
