Luis Diaz’s mother has been rescued but his father remains captive Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders says the entire club is praying for the safe return of Luis Diaz’s father after he was kidnapped in Colombia last week. It was confirmed by authorities in Colombia on Saturday that Diaz’s parents had been taken hostage, and while his mother has since been freed, his father remains under the control of kidnappers.
