The long awaited John Lewis Christmas ad 2023 has been released with a famous Italian tenor voicing the special tune.
The long-awaited John Lewis Christmas 2023 advert has been released with opera legend Andrea Bocelli taking centre stage this year.
Andrea's voice features as the Italian tenor sings an upbeat tune "Festa",which means celebration, written and produced by Le Feste Antonacci. The lyrics are simple but the tune ie effective, with a big focus on the melody rather than the words. The words "La vita e una festa" are repeated throughout the song, translating to "life is a celebration".
“I am delighted to take part in this wonderful and unique tradition of Christmas storytelling," Andrea Bocelli says. "It is very special for me given the great support this will bring to both the John Lewis and Andrea Bocelli foundations. Joy to all of your worlds this Christmas!" The ad features little Alfie who buys a seed as he hopes to grow the "perfect Christmas tree". The youngster lovingly nurtures the plant but things do not go as expected as it grows with a personality of its own. However, Alfie loves it all the same as the pair bring each other much joy.
