The Tartan Army might have to extend their stay in Germany and this is what could lie ahead for Clarke and his men.
The task for Steve Clarke and his Scotland players is pretty simple now going into their final Euro 2024 Group A game in Stuttgart on Sunday.
From the outset, Clarke was targeting the four-point tally that would see them progress to the last 16. Scott McTominay’s goal against Switzerland in Cologne which earned Scotland a draw means they are still very much in with a chance of achieving that. There is still plenty of work to do but it’s achievable. For the thousands of Tartan Army foot soldiers on the march in Germany, it means the chance of their adventure continuing.
Winner Group E - Tuesday, July 2, Munich, kick off 5pm Obviously facing Spain or Italy would be a real tough task but IF Scotland can get that win against Hungary then the other two likely scenarios aren’t so tough. The second possibility is the winners of Group E. Romania are currently top after their impressive 3-0 win over Ukraine while Slovakia also have three points after their shock victory over Belgium.
