Graham Norton will be joined by a familiar face as he juggles presenting and commentating duties
Graham Norton will be back with his quick-witted commentary as the Eurovision Song Contest comes to a climax on Saturday night. Liverpool is hosting the annual competition this year on behalf of last year's winners Ukraine after runner-up Sam Ryder landed in second place with hit song Space Man.
However, Graham has been tasked with a second job as the final gets underway at Liverpool's M&S Bank Arena. As well as providing commentary, the BBC star will also be presenting the show - alongside singer-songwriter and TV presenter Alesha Dixon, Emmy Award-winning actress Hannah Waddingham and Ukrainian singer-songwriter Julia Sanina.
Although it's unusual for a commentator to also be involved in presenting duties, organisers pulled a similar move in 1998 when Birmingham hosted the competition, with Graham's predecessor Terry Wogan acting as both the show host and a commentator for the UK. Mel is no stranger to Eurovision. She first took on the role of co-commentator alongside Scott Mills in the 2015 semi-finals and then again in 2016 and 2017. She then starred as the UK spokesperson in 2018, a position being filled by Catherine Tate in the 2023 contest.
