The Duval County school district is making strides to continue its search for a new superintendent with hopes of fulfilling the position by May.

Candidates have until April 15 to apply. As of now, there are four candidates on the list. But who are they?Dr. Corwin Robinson, who applied in the last round of searches, is a program administrator for the St. Tammany Parish School System in Louisiana. He has over 20 years of experience in education. He’s served as a superintendent for Lake County Schools and assistant principal for the Clarksville Montgomery County School System in Tennessee.

“As Superintendent, I am highly motivated and energized to lead and serve the students, parents, and community. I can be at the forefront of positive change and set a cutting-edge vision and direction. I have developed creative and innovative processes in previous positions, significantly impacting business practices within these organizations,” Robinson said.Dr. Sito Narcisse stepped down in January from his role as a school superintendent of the East Baton Rouge Parish School System.

“I’ve worked in other large complex school districts like the Duval County Public Schools System. I recognize the challenges faced and the creative solutions required to improve student outcomes, support teachers and staff, and help families navigate and advocate for their children,” Narcisse said.Dr. Carlos Perez Jr.

He graduated from Northeastern University, Stony Brook University, Hofstra University and Long Island University.
