According to the Office of Special Counsel, Kellyanne Conway is a"repeat offender" for violating the Hatch Act on multiple occasions.: An ethics investigation into White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway recommended that she be fired from her Trump administration post for violating the Hatch Act, which prevents federal employees from using their office to engage in political activity.

Another OSC report in March found that she also violated the Hatch Act during two television interviews where she advocated for and against candidates in the Alabama special election for U.S. Senate, the race where Roy Moore lost after he was accused of sexual assault. When asked about her previous violations of the Hatch Act, the frequent Trump defender and cable news regular said in a May interview that people were trying to “silence” her through the Hatch Act.The OSC report, which was sent to President Donald Trump, called Conway a “repeat offender” whose actions erode the principle “foundation of our democratic system—the rule of law.”

“Ms. Conway’s violations, if left unpunished, would send a message to all federal employees that they need not abide by the Hatch Act’s restrictions,” the report says. The White House did not say whether it would fire Conway. In a response to the investigation, Deputy Press Secretary Steven Groves said the actions against Conway “are deeply flawed and violate her constitutional rights to free speech and due process,” according to
