White hoping Bulls have a 'knockout rugby' chance of beating Leinster juggernaut in URC semis
Not that he needed to, with the might of Leinster turning up on his doorstep this week, but Bulls ' director of rugby Jake White made a beeline for the comfortable confines of the underdog status ahead of his team's United Rugby Championship semi-final against the Irish juggernauts.
With a tenser than expected 30-23 quarter-final win over Italian club side Benetton - a team they had put 50 points past three weeks ago - there was a degree of head-scratching after a performance described by White as a"nerve-wracking 80 minutes" which could easily have ended up in defeat. Having recovered from being 26-0 down to end up losing 56-35 in the corresponding fixture, Benetton came with a plan to apply the same pressure that yielded five converted tries consistently through the match in the quarter-final, something they felt they could do by beefing up their bench with a 6-2 split.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
