Ohio State will be without Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Miyan Williams today in College Park.
will have one of its two top running backs available against Maryland on Saturday, as it attempts to have a completely healthy backfield for Michigan next week.
TreVeyon Henderson, who did not play the past two weeks with an apparent foot injury, is not listed on the pregame status report. Miyan Williams, though, is listed as unavailable. He started in place of Henderson last week against Indiana and rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown before suffering his own foot or leg injury.
Backup running back Chip Trayanum, who did not play last week, also is not listed on the status report. Along with freshman Dallan Hayden, OSU will have three-fourths of its running back depth chart available at Maryland. Coach Ryan Day previously said Williams’ injury was not believed to be long-term, so the possibility remains he could return next week against Michigan.
Not since Oct. 22 against Iowa have both Henderson and Williams both played an entire game together. The last game before that was Sept. 24, when both rushed for over 100 yards.
