CLEVELAND, Ohio — Many of the best athletes from around the world will compete for ultimate glory starting on Friday with the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris, France.
Meet the six Northeast Ohioans who will be in Paris for the Olympics and when you can watch them compete:Meet boxer Morelle McCane, Cleveland’s first female Olympic hopeful, as she prepares to go for gold in Paris The Hartville native is heading to Paris for his first Olympic games, but this is far from his first major competition.
Christopher is the youngest competitor in the field and is one of two Americans in the event along with Virginia Beach native Justin Dowell. James and Team USA open Olympic play Sunday at 11:15 a.m. vs. two-time reigning NBA MVP Nikola Jokic and Serbia.This year’s Olympics will be the fourth in Kiefer’s career, also qualifying in London 2012 and Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
