Tshabalala, or simply “Shabba” to fans, established his status as a revered figure in South African football throughout a career filled with highlights. In 2007, Tshabalala’s dream move to Kaizer Chiefs materialised, and he quickly became a fan favourite, known for his pace, dribbling skills, and long-range strikes. He donned the iconic number 14 jersey and helped Kaizer Chiefs achieve numerous domestic successes.
Throughout his career, Tshabalala had stints abroad in Turkey with Erzurumspor, but his final stint as an active player came with AmaZulu at the turn of this decade.Now 39 years old, Tshabalala never publicly announced his retirement from the game – possibly keeping the door open for a comeback stint after last being on the book of AmaZulu in 2021..
