Last weekend, Bafana Bafana's record goalscorer Benni McCarthy completed a sensational return to the Premier League after being appointed as a new first-team coach by Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag.
The move saw the 44-year-old return to the league where he previously scored 37 goals in 120 appearances across spells with Blackburn Rovers and West Ham United, including 18 in 36 games during his maiden season. Bartlett netted 24 times in 123 appearances for Charlton Athletic, while former Everton, Sunderland and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Steven Pienaar was a further four goals behind after scoring 20 goals in 214 matches.
