Monday morning at the Covenant School, a private Christian elementary school in Nashville, according toOfficials described the victims, whose names and ages have not been released, as students and staff at the school, which serves around 200 children from pre-K to sixth grade. They were pronounced dead after arriving at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital and Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
. “As we continue to respond, please join us in praying for the school, congregation & Nashville community.” Police said the shooter was a 28-year-old woman after initially stating that she appeared to be a teenager. She entered the school through a side entrance with two assault rifles and a handgun, according to officials.
