Aderbis Segundo Pirela-Pirela was the second-in-command of a Colombian prison gang tied to an even more powerful gang out of Venezuela.

A Colombian drug lord was arrested in New Braunfels last week after a months-long journey to enter the United States unlawfully from the border with Mexico. Bogotá Metropolitan Police had been monitoring his journey through South America and the U.S. In January, U.S. Immigration Customs and Enforcement stopped Aderbis Segundo Pirela-Pirela near El Paso the same day he had entered the border near Eagle Pass.
