The Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office said there was a “significant development in the case,” but declined to comment further until after a court proceeding later Friday.near Gilgo Beach led to as many as 16 victims being found, many of them known sex workers. Police believe some of those deaths are linked to a serial killer.
