The state pension is set to rise by 8.5% – the second largest jump ever recorded – on the back of new earnings figures

People with no NI record before 6 April, 2016 need 35 qualifying years to get the full state pension. A qualifying year for state pension can be made up through combining earnings, NI credits, self-employment and voluntary contributions.are employed and earning more than £190 a week from one employer and paying NI contributions;
are employed and earning between £123 and £190 a week from one employer and are treated as having paid NI contributions;receive NI credits.
