What’s the most popular food-truck cuisine by state?

The Buckeye state was one of 10 that has tacos as its No. 1 item.

Ohio fell in line with that. Sandwiches / rolls came in second in eight states. American food was found to be the most searched-for cuisine, followed by Mexican / Latin food., with its braised meat. Pork belly mac and cheese finished second in Ohio. Shaneco.’s methodology used Yelp data for food trucks, then mined dozens of menu items. Researchers also looked at Google Trends and keywords, going over more than 1,500 menu items from 500 trucks to determine popular cuisines across the country.
