Erin Coffin: “When I knock on doors and talk to my neighbours, they tell me they want a councillor who is present and communicates with them . They want better infrastructure in their communities — roads, parks and sewers they would like to see better addressed. When we are building and updating our infrastructure, we need to choose greener options and, most importantly, we need to better maintain our infrastructure — the parks, the sidewalks, the paths, shared spaces — we can do better.
Rouba Fattal: “Climate change is the issue that is affecting all of Ottawa and there are practical solutions to address it that we can get to work on immediately. We can work on a more robust waste management system so that businesses and grocery stores can compost and recycle. This newly diverted organic waste can be used as soil for our growing community gardens network, or toward biofuels.”
