Queen Elizabeth II is being laid to rest in a state funeral in London, England Monday, which prompted the federal government to declare September 19 as a Nation

Ontario Premier Doug Ford said it would not be a provincial holiday, but it is a Provincial Day of Mourning.Durham Regional Headquarters is shut down along with the Waste Management Centre, Ontario Works offices and Adult Day Programs at Hillsdale Estates and in Port Perry.

There is no change to waste collection, Durham Region Transit, Regional Early Learning and Childcare programs and courts located at Regional Headquarters.
