We've compiled a short list of some things people may find seasonally interesting, as well as one that pays tribute to a great Nova Scotian.► Boney M.

The Viola Desmond Legacy Committee was established in 2018 in order to see Desmond recognized in the city. Marven Nelligan was commissioned to create a lasting art piece to honour Desmond in the north end.at the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site. Parks Canada and the Halifax Citadel Society encourage everyone to keep the tradition alive and support Feed Nova Scotia.

Activities run from noon to 4 p.m. and include Victorian carols, a soldiers’ play, stories and appearances by Father Christmas.If you visit the Citadel on Saturday, you won’t have to stick around downtown long for the lighting of the Halifax Christmas tree. It’s set for 6 p.m. at City Hall. It has been our privilege to have the trust and support of our East Coast communities for the last 200 years.
