At least 70 people were reported killed in Israel, while Gaza authorities released a death toll of 198. Hundreds more are wounded on both sides."The Kingdom calls for an immediate halt to the escalation between the two sides, protection of civilians, and self-control," a foreign ministry statement said.
A senior adviser to supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei expressed support for the attack, calling it a"proud operation".Safavi backed the Palestinian militants"until the liberation of Palestine and Jerusalem".
