What Ohio State coach Ryan Day said about the possibility of naming a starting quarterback

Ohio State coach Ryan Day wasn't ready to name a starting quarterback after Saturday's win.

When asked if the offensive line is still a work in progress, he responded, “Yes.” Day would not elaborate further on the struggles facing that unit.

The number of possessions, and lack thereof, for Day has been a cause for “anxiety.” Ohio State had nine drives . And while they scored five touchdowns, the lack of possessions is something the staff is working on figuring out. With the fewer number of plays, it’s going to be hard to get every running back the touches they want. But TreVeyon Henderson will fall under no such shortage of touches. Day made it clear that having Henderson get the ball is a priority, and that he’s a “home run threat” every time he touches the ball.
