What Nick Sheridan wants Alabama’s offense to improve most after 1st scrimmage

Here's the area where Alabama's offensive coordinator wants to see improvement from his unit.

He plays things close to the vest when speaking to media. On Wednesday, Sheridan was asked what he’d thought of the Crimson Tide’s first scrimmage of 2024 preseason camp, which happened Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

The first scrimmage will be Alabama’s longest, according to head coach Kalen DeBoer. The Tide ran approximately 102 plays, with 81 of them split nearly equally between the first and second teams. “I think just avoiding negative plays,” Sheridan said. “I think that’s always , I think staying on schedule, there’s lots of layers to that whether it’s a pre-snap penalty, whether it’s a missed block, whether it’s a poor decision by a quarterback or a receiver not running the right route or whatever it may be.”
