Kaizer Chiefs will be without centre-back Zitha Kwinika for the first time this season. SLSiya Read more:

Chiefs are yet to find a suitable central defensive partnership after Edmilson Dove was recently paired with Kwinika as a left-footed centre-back. Amakhosi head coach Arthur Zwane confirmed after their game against Swallows that they are still looking for the right combination and will get the opportunity to explore other options, as Kwinika is suspended for their upcoming game against Stellenbosch.

The Soweto giants have kept only three clean sheets so far this season in a 3-0 win over Maritzburg United, 1-0 win over Richards Bay and a goalless draw against AmaZulu That on it's own could see Zwane opt for Ngcobo to replace the suspended Kwinika against Stellies and pair him with Dove for the first time.

However, Zwane showed his hand somewhat of another defensive system in the Macufe Cup friendly against Royal AM. Should Chiefs decide to go with a back-three against Steve Barker's charges, even Ngezana can get an opportunity to start, especially after Zwane revealed that Mathoho was injured prior to their game against Swallows. Given that Zwane is still experimenting at the back, Kwinika may find it hard to return to the team, should the combination of Ngcobo and Dove keep a clean sheet or impress the most against the Cape Winelands outfit.
