All quarterbacks prefer a clean pocket, but Jackson’s statistical splits with and without one are dramatic. In five-plus seasons, the former MVP completes 69.7% of his passes for 7.7 yards per attempt and posts an average quarterback rating of 102.8 in clean pockets. Against pressure, Jackson completes 49.8% of his passes for 6.6 yards per attempt with an average rating of 76.5. His touchdown rate drops from 6.1% to 5.6% against pressure. And his interception rate climbs from 2.02% to 2.7%.

Only two teams -- the Steelers and Chargers -- have held Jackson below five yards per carry since he entered the league in 2018. And nobody has defended Jackson’s legs than Pittsburgh, which has held him to 4.62 yards per carry in three starts. The Steelers have never allowed a 20-yard rush against Jackson, and he’s never scored a rushing touchdown against them.

But during Jackson’s three starts against Pittsburgh, Andrews has 12 catches for 122 yards and zero touchdowns on 22 targets. Moreover, 62% of Andrews’ targets -- and 10 of his catches -- against Pittsburgh are nine yards deep or shorter, which is almost 10% higher than the biggest short-target share of his career .
