The South African Weather Service warned of an intense cold front headed for the Western Cape on Thursday morning, expected to hit on Sunday (7 July) and Monday (8 July). It cautioned of heavy downpours, snowfalls, very cold conditions, strong coastal and interior winds and rough seas.
Signs of the cold front forecast to hit the Western Cape this week have left a small amount of snow high up on Matroosberg.The reserve in the Hex River Mountains shared a photo of the white blanket on their Facebook page, saying, ‘If you are freezing, this might be the reason…’
