The African Scottish Expo 2023 returned to Bathgate recently with the aim of connecting and strengthening diverse community relationships.
The network was established in 2021 and aims to help amplify, empower, and strengthen the collective voice of women and women of African origin by advancing equal representation in leadership positions and participation in policy and decision-making communities. Eunice Simpson, from the network, said: “We hope to see a West Lothian where women from all backgrounds and cultures including Black African Women have a voice and are fully represented in leadership and have equal opportunities to participate in all aspects of society.
