Richard Dinnes, 66, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s four years ago
A West Lothian couple are set to leave for their travels around Europe this week in an attempt to tick off some items on the husbands bucket list.
Edinburgh Live reported that the couple will be watching three of the Rugby World Cup games this year whilst also getting to travel around Europe - two dreams that the 66 year old has wished to experience. “The only two real things on his bucket list were to watch the Rugby World Cup in person and to travel Europe as this was something we used to do when we first got together.
The couple are set to watch Scotland V Tonga, Scotland V Romania and Scotland V Ireland whilst also visiting the likes of Italy and Switzerland. “We figured that inter railing would be the way to go for our holiday and after the first rugby game in Nice, we will take the long way round to get to the second game and visit Italy and Switzerland.
“He is liable to get confused and overwhelmed and disorientated but when he is relaxed, he still has his sense of humour and he has always been a people person.Ailsa shared how she is really excited for the trip and that the couple owe a lot to Alzheimer Scotland for how Richard has come so far.
