From snow capped mountains to frozen lakes, winter in Canada is a breathtaking sight that draws visitors from around the world. But the grey aura that besets Toronto during its darkest months is anything but a tourist trap. As such, the city’s hotels have had to get creative.has constructed a duo of picturesque domes. Situated on the terraces of the hotel’s duel Marilyn suites, the heated domes are furnished with jewel-toned love seats, plush chaises, and luxurious throw blankets.
Beyond the picturesque domes, the one bed, two bath Marilyn suites offer a stunning stay themselves. Designed by Toronto-based, the suites feature rich velvet furnishings, black marble bathrooms, and silver accents. King beds are adorned with Frette linens and vanities are stocked with Byredo bath products.
Quietly constructed in December, the domes have been popular with tourists and Torontonians alike — recent visitors include‘s Heather Gay. They’ll be in place until March, by which time the Bisha’s chalet and ice skating rink will open, providing yet another wintry draw. At $1,000 per night, access to the domes doesn’t come cheap, but that’s only a slightly higher price than the Marilyn’s regular $900 nightly price tag.
