Ten people, including a 17-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl, were killed in separate incidents in Cape Town over the course of the weekend, leaving the police with their hands full.
The latest incident occurred in Hout Bay, where four men were gunned down in a shack in Mandela Square, Hout Bay on Saturday evening.
It’s alleged that unknown gunmen travelling in a car shot one victim multiple times, stabbed another and hit a third victim with a brick. Potelwa said no arrests have been made as yet, adding that the Serious Violent Crimes Unit is probing both incidents. Police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg said ‘the victim was declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel. The motive for the attack is gang-related, and a murder case was registered’.
