Assault charge and more Fail to Comply/Breach of Release Order
, 2023 at 5 a.m. to July 17, 2023 at 5 a.m.2023 at approximately 2:30 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a domestic incident in the east end of the city. Police attended and located a female with facial injuries. As a result of the investigation, a 33-year-old male of Belleville was arrested and charged with one count of assault. He was later released with an August court date. The name of the male is not being released to protect the identity of the female.
While speaking with the driver, police observed a male known to them in the passenger seat of the vehicle who was on conditions involving a curfew. As a result, a 32-year-old male from Trenton was arrested and charged with fail to comply – failing to appear in court, and was held for a bail hearing. The driver of the vehicle was also charged with plates unauthorized and operating a motor vehicle without Insurance., 2023 at approximately 1:30 p.m.
