bWeekend Outlook:/b The dog days of summer hang on
The hot, sultry Dog Days of mid-summer typically give way to cooler weather in Northern Ontario by mid-August as a harbinger of the coming Fall.
Maybe Mother Nature is making up for the cool-wet start to summer, as the weekend ahead looks to settle in with a long run of temperatures two to three degrees above normal values. Moreover, the long-range forecast suggests this warm trend could continue into next weekend as well. Patchy fog around the Sault region on Friday morning will give way to weaker winds this afternoon, allowing daytime highs to return to near 24°C under mostly sunny skies.
Saturday will be partly cloudy, with temperatures climbing to 24°C again. A few clouds Sunday morning gives way to afternoon sun as daytime highs continue near 24°C. There is a chance of isolated showers arriving Monday, but temperatures remain in the mid-20s for all of next week.
