Environment Canada has issued a two-day heat warning for most of eastern Ontario and western Quebec this weekend. 🚨 PSA: HEAT WARNING IN EFFECT 🚨Humidex is expected to reach the high thirties to low forties.Check on older adults, young children, pregnant women, & people with chronic illnesses. Make sure they are cool & drinking water. Never leave people or pets inside a parked cars pic.twitter.com/dDCWEKgurEPeople are advised to drink plenty of water, even before feeling thirsty, and to stay in a cool place, according to the weather agency.
Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
