Ms. Thornhill actor Christina Ricci addresses whether Wednesday season 2 will feature a return from her villainous character. After the show's breakout success on Netflix, the streamer quickly confirmed that Jenna Ortega's titular character would return for Wednesday season 2.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY After Ms. Thornhill's fate is left up in the air at the end of season 1, Ricci comments on whether audiences will see her character return in Wednesday season 2 in a recent interview with ET. The actor is careful not to give anything away about what's to come, but does make clear that it's role she would gladly return to.
"I don't think I'm allowed to say. On my end, the door is open. She was so fun to play! It’s always so fun to play a villain." Christina Ricci's Wednesday Season 2 Return Is A Great Idea Ortega recently made headlines for revealing that she took issue with some of the writing for Wednesday season 1, often changing lines or conferring with writers regarding certain plot points. One particular issue for Ortega, it seems, was Wednesday's love life, which overpowered some of the darker elements.
Of course, there's also an argument to be made that Ms. Thornhill is better left out of Wednesday season 2's story. The new season could introduce a new and potentially even scarier villain, helping the next batch of episodes feel distinct from the first. However Wednesday season 2 handles its villain, it's clear that Ricci is certainly interested in reprising her role at some point down the line.
