A new \u0022winter weather statement\u0022 from Environment Canada is advising an expected 10 cm of snow beginning near midnight and extending into Sunday evening.

“A long duration snowfall is expected due to a low pressure system tracking south of the area,” the agency says in the statement. “If forecast snowfall amounts meet or exceed 15 cm in 12 hours then a snowfall warning may be required.”Sunday’s temperatures are expected to remain steady at about -4 C.
