Natal Day ended with a bang for those in Nova Scotia. Warren Hoeg sent in this photo of a beautiful fireworks display over the Halifax Harbour on the evening of July 31st. Fireworks never fail to brighten up the mood, especially on a beautiful summer night like this one. Thank you, Warren. Fun fact: the first Natal Day celebration was on June 21, 1749, to commemorate the founding of Halifax. From then on, other provinces in the country adopted the public holiday to honour their region; like “Terry Fox Day” in Manitoba, “Heritage Day” in Alberta, and"Simcoe Day” in Toronto.
