Lancashire and Cumbria have recognised this, with the neighbouring counties offering a plethora of pet-friendly accommodation options located anywhere from cottages on the coast to remote campsites. In fact, Carlisle was recently named as the most pet-friendly city in the UK. The Cumbrian destination has 59.8% of its Airbnb listings allowing you to bring a pet along , according to data compiled by GuestReady. While Lancaster was ranked third with 101 pet-friendly listings out of 223 .
