Eskom’s latest power alert says the country can expect an alternating pattern of stage 5 and 4 loadshedding to be implemented until further notice, starting from 4pm on Tuesday, 23 May 2023.
Breakdowns currently stand at 18 177MW of generating capacity while the generating capacity out of service for planned maintenance stands at 2 629MW, according to the power alert. In the same period, a generation unit each at Arnot, Camden, Tutuka and two generating units at Kriel power stations were taken out of service due to breakdowns.
